Position Summary:
The Training Lead is responsible for welcoming and training all new hourly Mixing Department employees within the new employees’ first four weeks. The Training Lead should be warm, inviting, friendly, and helpful to our new hires. They will work closely with the Assistant Supervisors, Supervisors, and HR Representative to ensure performance of new employees is tracked and communicated appropriately.
Essential Functions:
Guide candidate through the facility during interview/tour and highlight information regarding job duties and responsibilities.
Conduct 1st day training and orientation for new employees. This includes talking through expectations, policies, guidelines, and introducing new employees to others in the facility.
Administer the Safety/GMP training video and assessment.
Perform observations of new employees focusing on new employees’ attendance, speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Provide coaching and feedback to new employees.
Partner with HR and Assistant Supervisors/Supervisor to evaluate performance and provide necessary updates on new hires.
Enroll new hires into timekeeping system.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Other duties may be assigned as necessary to serve as a liaison between Operations and HR.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Will be working in an environment that may at times be noisy and warm or very cold. Must be able to access any area of the facility (office or manufacturing plant) which may require walking through tight spaces, up and down stairways, or maneuver around obstacles to be able shadow a new employee. Must be able to lift between 20 and 30 lbs to show new employees how to lift properly without causing injury.
Education, Experience and Required Skills:
High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
