Bookkeeper/Accountant

As we expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team. Job Summary: The Bookkeeper/Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial transactions and record-keeping for multiple single purpose entities. This role involves maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the business. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of basic accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Recording: Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions, including but not limited to sales, purchases, expenses, and payments. Credit Card reconciliation.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing documentation for tax filings, yearly 1099’s, and work closely with external accountants to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Budget Monitoring: Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets. Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes. Analyze cash flow and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and systematic financial records, both electronically and in hard copy. Enter accounting related information into business logs. Ensure confidentiality and security of financial data.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) and other tools to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency. MS Office.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Proficiency in MS Office365
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
