The School Based Social Worker Interventionist is a grant funded position that will work to provide social-emotional-behavioral instructional interventions while supporting implementation of the local schools’ Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). This postion will be based out of Heartlland AEA's Johnston office and work a 192 day contract.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants must have a Masters degree in Social Work from a graduate school of Social Work and accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and a license or Statement of Professional Recognition, which requires verification of the human relations course. The license of School Social Work requires completion of an approved program. Prefer two years of successful experience in public school social work or child-related social work and training in education and understanding of public school services and special education.
