TITLE: ASPHALT PLANT OPERATOR
REPORTS TO: PLANT FOREMAN
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt plant, ensuring the production of high-quality asphalt materials. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Asphalt Plant Operator will monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Additionally, the operator needs the ability to coordinate material deliveries and dispatch haul trucks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee the asphalt plant to produce asphalt materials according to specifications.
- Monitor plant operations to ensure efficiency and quality control.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production.
- Maintain accurate records of production and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
- Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Coordinate material deliveries and dispatch haul trucks.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an asphalt plant operator or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong Mechanical and Electrical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to asphalt plant operations.
- Willingness to travel and work long hours as needed.
Working Hours and Shifts:
- This is a Full-time Seasonal Position, working April through November (weather permitting).
- Average work days are typically 12-14 hours, requiring overtime and working occasional weekends.
· Travel is required throughout the region, with occasional overnight stays compensated.

Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have Valid Driver’s license. Class A CDL is preferred but not required.
- Pre-Employment Drug Test and Physical Required.

- Compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards.
