SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and operating all equipment by performing the following duties

- Trains and assists associates in performing preventative maintenance assignments
- Performs machine setup and operates machinery safely
- Ensures scrap is recorded accurately and disposed of daily; rework is completed daily
- Fills in for associates when necessary
- Understands, operates, and assists individual process stations on all equipment
- Clears all faults and restarts machinery
- Informs Team Leader or Production Manager of any and all quality issues
- Accurately completes paperwork and data entry
- Maintains 5S standards
- Inspect and measures parts and products to verify conformance specifications
- Analyzes and provides input to resolve work problems or assists associates involving work problems
- Assists with monitoring absenteeism
- Maintains time and production records
- Conducts associate cross-training to include maintaining and verifying performance levels and updating records/keeping records of progress
- Tracks associates in area during emergency
- Assists in monitoring and maintaining all TPM Goals (Safety, Scrap, Customer Defects, In-Progress Defects, and Downtown Frequency)
- Supports and participates in continuous improvement programs for Health, Safety, and the Environment
- Monitors controls effectively to meet requirements and to report to department managers as to compliance with these requirements

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years manufacturing experience (preferred experience with Heartland Automotive)
Computer and Technology Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Word
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
