We are now accepting applications for our 2025 summer high school Bankers in Training (“BIT”) Program. This is a program where you get paid to learn and build a career in banking! In this highly visible role, you will work side by side with top leaders of the organization. You will gain valuable work experience that will help you develop and refine skills, network with professionals in your area of interest, and build confidence as you transition into the workforce. Whether you are college bound or not, you can get started with a banking career immediately after graduating high school!
What You’ll Do:
A typical day in the BIT program might include:
- Assist in preparing information and marketing materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
- Participate in business development and relationship management under the guidance of department leader
- Understand operations of the department and assist in increasing production and efficiencies
- Visit or job shadow or participate in department overview discussions
- Gain exposure to branch operations and retail products
- Assist other areas of the bank when time permits
- Participate in bank related functions as needed (fairs, bank sponsored events)
What it Takes:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School degree or equivalent
- Computer Competencies: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Internet Explorer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Self-motivated initiate and see projects through to completion
