GENERAL DESCRIPTION This is a responsible, professional and supervisory position developing and coordinating a re-entry program for offenders assigned to a large Residential Reentry Center. The Program Supervisor assists with the supervision of the case managers and security staff ensuring that offenders receive appropriate care and services in their transition to the community. S / he ensures the continuity of care for offenders, appropriate employment assistance, and facilitates services for offenders with special needs, (i.e., sex offenders, those with significant medical and mental health issues, drug and alcohol abuse / dependence, and specialized female offender programming). The Program Supervisor exercises considerable initiative and judgment in planning and carrying out assignments. S / he receives general direction from an administrative superior.
