Summary:
To assist in data reporting needs, documentation of applications, and help with supporting and testing of the applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consults with IT Management, Analysts, other Developers, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, and interfaces with other systems.
- Assist in creating reports that are used with the software tools for departments.
- Help with design of Ad-hoc reports that are used with our reporting tools and/or downloaded of data into excel.
- Designs or writes documentation and test procedures for programs based on consultations with IT Management, Analysts, other Developers, and end users.
- Test code to find causes of errors and suggest solutions to revises programs.
- Writes and maintains documentation of changes to programs and applications.
- Reviews technical documentation written by others to confirm consistency with program operations.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
- Trains end users or technical support staff to use and support program.
- Coordinates with other Developers about program revisions.
- Effectively support remote users via phone to assist in answering questions on applications.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of the appropriate computer system(s) and appropriate computer programming language(s).
