Summary:
Responsible for providing excellent customer service following company policies and procedures and selling products at the retail store by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote products and programs in a professional and business-like manner.
- Loads customer vehicles with product, observing required and reasonable safety measures.
- Unloads trucks delivering product using proper equipment such as two-wheeled cart, forklift, etc.
- Fills propane bottles for in-store customers as well as tanks for delivery to customers and locations.
- Ensures propane tanks are not overfilled and safety is observed.
- Replaces valves on bottles with outdated valves and performs bottle inspections as needed.
- Performs other petroleum related duties.
- Reacting to and reporting customer complaints tactfully and promptly.
- Following policies and procedures established to prevent loss of cash and merchandise due to actions by employees, vendors, and customers.
- Billing, receiving, pricing, stocking, rotating and counting merchandise in store and warehouse.
- May be responsible for cash drawer, including reconciliation and cash deposits.
- Assist management in maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Certain branches/locations may require the employee to maintain a valid drivers license and commercial insurability at all times.
- All other duties associated with a high-volume retail outlet.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
