Position Summary
The Quality Analyst 2 provides assistance with training, monitoring, and reporting on clinical quality, in accordance with Heartland Health Services' (HHS) mission and strategic goals, federal and state laws and regulations and accreditation standards.
Essential Functions
- Assists with education and training for staff on quality improvement activities related to clinic organizational objectives, compliance, and individual job functions, i.e., OSHA, HIPPA, etc.
- Organizes and performs quality focus studies to align with third party payor requirements and quality improvement activities.
- Works with third party payors as the direct contact for quality initiatives
- Coordinates quality projects with third party payors by scheduling and leading quality focus meetings.
- Analyzes, researches, and reports on quality improvement activities to meet established guidelines set by HHS and other regulatory and accreditation bodies
- Completes quality audits on assessments, screens, and other clinical documentation to improve outcomes, processes and to ensure adherence to policy, procedure and applicable state and federal regulations
- Organizes and performs ad hoc quality focus studies on assessments, screenings, and other clinical documentation to identify trends, develop recommendations, and guide quality improvement activities
- Collects, audits, analyzes, and reports HHS's quality data to support quality projects and initiatives defined by the organization's QI / QA plan and QAUR Committee
- Coordinates quality projects by scheduling and leading quality focus meetings, creating and communicating meeting agendas, and communicating key discussion points and action items regularly to keep progress on-track
- In collaboration with the VP of Quality and Compliance, assists with maintaining, updating, and communicating quality policies and procedures throughout the company
- Maintains current knowledge of guidelines and requirements imposed on an FQHC
- Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with all members of the HHS organization
- Supports clinic compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and HHS rules, regulations, protocols, and procedures governing the clinical provision of medical services as well as those relating to, but not limited to, workplace safety, public health, and confidentiality.
- Supports and is involved in HHS's continuous quality improvement efforts designed to improve patient outcomes.
- Works in consultation with clinical teams, direct clinical support staff, and indirect clinical support staff to develop and implement policies and procedures that maximize patient-centered communication and services.
- Maintains and assures confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HHS's policies.
- Reports building / equipment problems through the appropriate channels.
- Performs any clerical duty or department related task as assigned by supervisor in a continuously changing medical practice.
- Attends all staff meetings, department meetings, and any other meetings as required.
