We are looking for an experienced Safety Director to take the lead in carrying out our organizational commitment to building a high-performing safety culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of safety through strong leadership, employee engagement, and proactive risk management.
- Develop and implement daily safe work plans to ensure job site safety and compliance.
- Respond to and manage incidents, conduct thorough investigations, implement corrective actions, and report to management.
- Oversee workers' compensation case management, ensuring proper documentation and coordination with medical professionals and insurance providers.
- Create, update, and enforce safety policies and procedures that align with company goals and industry standards.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct safety training sessions for employees at all levels.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety standards, completing required reports and documentation.
- Adapt and evolve the safety program in alignment with company growth and industry best practices.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of CHST certification but preferred CSP certification
- 7 Years of safety manager or director experience
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction Management preferred
- OSHA 500 Preferred, OSHA 30 in construction Required
- Proven leadership experience in construction safety or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and best practices in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
- Experience in incident response, risk assessment, and workers' compensation case management.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that drive a proactive safety culture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the flexibility to adapt to a growing company’s evolving needs.
