Job Summary
Heartland Concrete & Construction, Inc is seeking a CONCRETE structural site superintendent to manage all aspects of concrete construction on a project site. Key responsibilities include oversight of the project, quality control, safety, supervision of personnel, and proper documentation and organization through project duration.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the concrete construction team, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress against project timelines.
Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate concrete placement.
Oversee the erection, support, and dismantling of formwork systems according to engineering designs.
Coordinate with other trades on site to ensure smooth workflow and avoid conflicts.
Implement strict quality control measures to verify concrete mix designs, curing procedures, and finishing techniques meet project standards.
Enforce all safety protocols and procedures on the job site
Lead, train, and maintain productivity of concrete crews including laborers, formworkers, and finishers, on proper techniques and safety practices.
Manage the ordering, delivery, and storage of concrete materials, including admixtures, reinforcement bars (rebar), and formwork components.
Prepare progress reports and submit them to project management team as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Extensive experience in structural concrete construction, including knowledge of formwork systems, concrete mix design, curing procedures, and finishing techniques.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a diverse construction crew effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and project managers
Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on the job site
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
Ability to manage project schedules and budgets
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
