WORK DETAILS
This is an onsite position. The Connections Manager will divide their time between our two Connection department locations, our Maize branch located at 3777 N. Maize Rd. and the Support Center in Hutchinson, located at 4000 N. Monroe.
Connection department hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday's.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE CONNECTIONS MANAGER
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Leads and develops the Connection Center team by coaching, training, and providing support to ensure they have the tools and knowledge to deliver exceptional service. Sets a strong example for professionalism, member engagement, and sales referrals.
- Oversees department operations by managing retail lending, deposit, and account functions, ensuring efficient workflows, accuracy in documentation, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Drives service excellence by monitoring and evaluating work quality, efficiency, and productivity, while providing guidance on resolving member requests, loan processing, and account management.
- Implements and enhances policies and procedures related to retail lending, deposit services, and account openings, ensuring they align with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Fosters a high-performing and positive work environment by effectively communicating with staff, encouraging teamwork, and creating a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
- Supports business growth and strategic initiatives by collaborating with leadership to achieve department goals, drive process improvements, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Maintains knowledge of credit union products and services.
- Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
- Provides superior service to our members and staff.
- Pro-actively supports and advances HCU's brand and culture platform.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CONNECTIONS MANAGER
- Two-year college or higher in related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of related lending experience.
- Previous administrative and supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent financial analysis abilities.
- Solid communication and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent public relations skills.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and enforce policies and procedures..
- Willingness to assist others.
- Strong sales/referral skills.
- Able to operate related computer applications and PC.
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license.
- Complete required employment screenings
- Required to sit, stand, and walk. Standing for extended periods of time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
