Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring their comfort throughout treatment.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health histories to provide quality care.
- Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.
- Assist with setting up rooms for hygiene visits, stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms according to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
- Partner with providers and team members to follow office systems and optimize workflow.
Qualifications
- Indiana Radiology License or permit pending
- Working knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Experience with dental software (Dentrix preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with minimum PHI necessary for job-related functions, HIPAA training required
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting and standing
- Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically
