Dental Hygienist Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dental Care of Canby. As an elite clinical provider and patient advocate, you will receive best-in-class non-clinical support to provide exceptional lifetime patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a current dental hygienist license in OR and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. They will also possess excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services to patients
- Conduct thorough oral examinations and take diagnostic images as needed
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current dental hygienist license in OR
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- CPR Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
