JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible will be responsible for executing building projects as directed and general maintenance. You will perform specialized tasks related to the building's HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting maintenance. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The focus of this position will be to support the assembly floor and the entire facility
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / SKILL / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, and painting
- Perform minor maintenance work to maintain lighting, parking areas, small machines, heating and cooling systems, plumbing etc.
- Must feel comfortable with working in a team environment consisting of HLF employees and outside contractors
- Must be able to work safely in different kinds of weather conditions and workspace environments
- After hours response to emergencies as scheduled
- Assist with workstation relocations, office configurations, and office moves
- Communicate with the staff to assure customer satisfaction
- Comply with corporate policy on safety, work ethics and time constraints
- Plan projects to ensure the highest level of productivity on the job
- Perform building and property inspections with appropriate reporting and follow up
- Perform miscellaneous painting of interior and exterior facilities as needed
- Perform general ground keeping activities, such as snow removal, mowing and weed eating as required
- Perform minor door and door hardware repairs, change out key cylinders
- Performing delivery/pick-up of material in a courteous, efficient and professional manner
- Provide and track invoices and receipts
- Must have valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a safe driving record and have reliable transportation
- Performing daily vehicle inspection
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Other tasks as requested by management team
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and in all types of weather conditions
- Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
- Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times, such as, Metatarsal shoes/boots, ear plugs/ear muffs, safety glasses and hard hats
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the marine, or steel fabrication industry
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision
