Are you a hard working individual looking for a rewarding career in the HVAC industry? Heartland Heating & Cooling in Grimes, IA is seeking a motivated HVAC Replacement Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation department, you will be responsible for replacing and installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for our valued customers.

Responsibilities :

Remove and replace old HVAC systems
Install new heating and cooling units
Perform quality checks to ensure systems are functioning properly
Collaborate with team members to complete installations on time
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications :

2 years of prior experience in HVAC installation as a lead installer

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

EPA certification or ability to obtain with 3 months of hire

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Physical Requirements & work environment include :

While performing duties of this position, employees are required to walk, balance on feet, stoop, squat, bend, climb, reach above head, crawl, talk, hear and drive company vehicles. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Must have the necessary physical stamina; to include, but not limited to, long-term overhead HVAC work.

Must be able to lift overhead up to 25 lbs. several times per week. If lifting more than 75 lbs.-request assistance.

Must be comfortable working in tight spaces for an extended period of time in crawl spaces and attics.

Must be able to work for extended hours or work days

Must be careful during work to avoid injury (squatting, bending, ladders and stair safety, etc.)

Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to work with powered construction tools (electric snips, sawzall, drills etc.)

Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

While performing the duties of this position employees will be exposed to various weather conditions including inclement weather including wet and / or humid conditions, extreme heat and extreme cold temperatures.

Occasional exposure to loud noise level environments.
