Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing each job to completion. Reviews the job proposal and job site to determine equipment and tools needed, plans time allotment, decides workload for self and crew members, and observes and prevents potential safety hazards. Takes responsibility for assembling appropriate supplies, tools and equipment, assigning tasks to crew members, and moving the job toward completion to ensure efficiency and quality. Keeps in contact with customer to aid in understanding of and satisfaction with job. Responsible for completing and turning in all necessary job paperwork. Works with the Landscape Division Manager to optimize production efficiency with the landscape crew ensuring the highest level of customer service. Works with the office staff to effectively service our customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Work alongside crew member(s), (1) assign tasks of crew member(s), (2) motivates and trains crew member(s)on the proper handling of materials and tools and approved methods of mulch installation, reshaping of landscape bed edges, broadleaf weed control, plant fertilization, shrub & perennial shaping / pruning, light tree trimming, and plant disease / pest control for landscaping beds, (3) ensures company policies and procedures, as well as safety guidelines, are followed, and (4) moves job progress to completion at a pace to ensure efficiency and quality.
2. Reviews job specifications to determine materials, tools and equipment needed for the job. Along with crew member(s) load the truck with such materials, tools and equipment.

4. Assesses conditions of the job once on-site. Plans time allotment, tools needed and order of work, and decides workload for self and crew member(s). Adjusts for conditions, troubleshoots situations, innovates process to complete the job to meet company standards and timetables.
5. Demonstrates general knowledge of landscaping industry including (but not limited to) fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides.
6. Optimizes the resources of the company by managing work flow, ensuring you have the tools you need to deliver an excellent customer experience.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs other related duties as requested or assigned by management.
2. Cross trains in other departments for back-up support.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Skill in verbal and written communication
2. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
3. Knowledge of landscaping industry and related principles and practices.
4. Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete job tasks
5. Ability to lift 50 lbs of weight frequently throughout the day.
6. Must be able to have full range of mobility working in various positions including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or GED preferred;
2. Two (2) years work experience managing or running a crew preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to illustrate a proven track record in the business field.
3. Class A CDL preferred but not required
4. Experience with operating a Bobcat skid steer

Hourly wage: $25 - $30 per hour plus overtime at 1.5x
