Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Representative performs day-to-day Accounts Receivable financial transactions.
General Purpose of the Position:
The Accounts Receivable Representative will assist in ensuring that the Company receives payment for goods and services offered to customers. This position reports to Accounts Receivable and Credit Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Essential Duties & Core Responsibilities:
- Prepares deposits, posts, verifies, records and reconciles customer payments, transactions and files
- Process credit card payments
- Interacts and responds to customer requests and works independently or partners with other team members to handle a variety of transactions
- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes
- Creates daily reports and end of month reports
- Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Accounts Receivable and Credit Supervisor and other staff
- Collaborates with the Accounts Receivable and Credit Supervisor to reconcile revenue accounts on regular basis
- Reconciles and replenishes cash boxes and petty cash
- Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Bilingual in English/Spanish

- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
- Ability to always act in an ethical and honest manner
- Hands-on experience with office equipment such as computers, telephones, copier, and scanner
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Motivated and proactive in completing a variety of tasks throughout the day
- Ability to organize, prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to write short correspondence
- Ability and willingness to follow detailed procedures and processes
- Prompt and regular attendance
- Ability to work as a team player, providing back-up and support to a variety of functions and departments
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Education & Experience:
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is an asset
- Experience: Minimum of 1-year related experience required
Pay Range:
- $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

- Must be able to bend and stoop occasionally to reach file cabinets, boxes, etc.
- Must be able to occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus working with computer and office equipment.
- Required to talk and hear regularly
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs several times throughout the day
- Manual dexterity to use a computer and phone
- Noise level is generally moderate
