Job Overview:
The Nursing Manager for the Neuro Unit is responsible for the overall leadership and management of nursing services within the unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with neurological conditions. The manager will oversee staff, ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, and maintain a safe and efficient environment that promotes optimal patient outcomes. This position also involves budget management, strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; manage staffing and schedules.
- Patient Care: Oversee patient care, ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols for neurological conditions.
- Quality & Safety: Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor patient outcomes, and ensure safety standards.
- Resource Management: Manage unit budget, staffing, and supplies; ensure effective resource use.
- Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and safety procedures.
- Patient/Family Support: Provide education and support to patients and families regarding neurological care.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current IL state license.
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- 3-5 years of nursing experience, including 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
- Active Registered Nursing license in the state of Illinois
- Three years previous management experience preferred
- At least five years previous experience in a clinical setting
Compensation:
Hourly range $36.30 - $54.44
Bonus:
Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
Incentives:
