As a locally owned utility, Heartland REMC is rooted in the communities we serve. Heartland REMC serves Wabash, Wells, Huntington, part of southwest Allen, and fringe areas of Whitley, Grant, and Adams counties, maintaining two offices located in Markle and Wabash, Indiana. Heartland distributes electricity to over 15,000 members through a network of 2,300 miles of power line. While the directors are responsible for guiding the cooperative as it evolves, the employees of Heartland REMC ensure that our members have safe and reliable electric power.
Job Description
Heartland REMC is now accepting applications for two Consumer Services Representative positions. Job responsibility includes, but not limited to, representing the Cooperative in a friendly and professional manner that positively influences all visitors and contacts with the REMC. Assists members in establishing, maintaining, and disconnecting electric service within the policies established by Heartland REMC. Assists members with billing, payment arrangements and account information, and promotes REMC programs to better serve the consumer. Applicant should have considerable skill in effectively dealing with a variety of people under difficult circumstances. Must be able to listen and respond courteously to members' comments and complaints, resolve problems within the scope of this position and refer specific problems and inquiries to the appropriate Cooperative personnel. Applicant must be willing to work at either office.

Qualifications
Associates degree is preferred but not required.
Candidates must also have knowledge of office equipment and computer experiences including Microsoft Office products.
