Cycle Counter

 Responsible for obtaining of a large variety of complex materials and services and develop appropriate stocking strategies in order to effectively support the production requirements of the plant.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Support production with daily on-time procurement of material

· Maintain responsible levels of material at all times

· Perform daily counts and submit purchase orders in accordance with established company policies and procedures

· Communicate professionally at all levels within departments

· Locate and select new and alternate sources of supply to meet the production requirements of the plant

· Establish and maintain effective contacts and working relationships with vendors

· Prepare and communicate product specifications to vendors for bid as appropriate and negotiate with the most favorable bidder(s) considering costs, quality, delivery, etc.

· Award and administer purchase orders and agreements in accordance with established company policies and procedures

· Facilitate semi-annual inventory processes

· Other related tasks as necessary

Requirements:

· 2 years previous experience preferred, but not required

· High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Strong self-motivation

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs

· Ability to work sitting and standing for 8-12 hours per day

· Ability to wear required PPE and transverse throughout a manufacturing facility

· Ability to work in varying weather conditions
