Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide personalized care and support to our Residents in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our Residents by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. This promotes health, comfort, and maintenance of their functional ability and works towards meeting the resident specific goals outlined in their individualized plan of care.
Duties:
- Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan.
- Assist with mobility and transfers.
- Administer medication, if certified medication aide
- Engage Residents in meaningful activities and companionship
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the residents; performs general housekeeping; and follows cleaning schedules for resident laundry, bedrooms, dining area, living space, bathrooms, kitchen, and other areas.
- Serves meals to residents in the dining room or apartments and may assist in preparing meals following preplanned menus.
- Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.
Skills:
- Experience in senior care, memory care, or assisted living is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with Residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Understanding of personal care systems and techniques
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
