Lineman – 4 days weekly

Pay is 38.00 to 45.00
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman, Lead Lineman, or Journeyman with at least three years of experience in electrical line work, including proficiency in hot work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency on every project. Key
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Supervision: Oversee and direct a crew of linemen and apprentices, ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety standards. Serve as a mentor and trainer to less experienced crew members, fostering professional growth and skill development.
2. Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical systems. Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment used in electrical line work, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and line-tensioning equipment.
3. Hot Work Expertise: o Conduct live-line maintenance (hot work) following established safety protocols. Utilize specialized techniques and tools to safely handle energized lines.
4. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to maintain a safe work environment.
5. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical systems and equipment efficiently. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports, material usage, and incident logs. Communicate project updates to management and clients as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Experience and Skills: Minimum of three years of experience as a lineman, with progressive responsibility in roles such as lead lineman or foreman. Proven experience performing hot work (live-line maintenance).
2. Certifications and Licenses: Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent credentials. CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred or the ability to obtain one. o Certifications in safety training (e.g., First Aid, CPR, OSHA 10/30).
3. Technical Knowledge: o Proficient in working with high-voltage systems, reading blueprints, and interpreting schematics. Knowledge of construction standards, electrical codes, and utility regulations.
4. Physical and Mental Requirements: o Ability to work in varying weather conditions and at heights. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and team leadership abilities.
