Automotive Technician Job Description

The successful candidate will assist in directing junior technicians and function as a skilled-level technician who can inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive repairs and preventive services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
• Inspect, diagnose, and identify repairs in automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Diagnose, repair, and assess engines.
• Perform oil changes, transmission fluid changes, and filter replacements.
• Install and maintain tires.
• Road test vehicles.
• Contribute to sales growth, profitability, and expense reduction.
• Mentor and lead junior technicians to enhance their skills and development.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend tires, parts, and services to the Service Manager for customers.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Treat all teammates, customers, and vendors with respect and dignity.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Able to perform tasks that require continued standing, bending, crouching, twisting, and crawling.
• ASE certifications or technical school degree are preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience:

• 5 years of tire service experience (desired).

Compensation:

$80,000 - $110,000 per year salary.
