Job Summary: Shift Leader responsibilities include managing the overall guest experience, team supervision and management, overseeing wash purchase transactions - including managing cash - and monitoring the performance of the equipment. Ultimately, this role is responsible for ensuring all aspects of your shift run smoothly and effectively.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure a consistently great customer experience for all guests and the highest wash quality.
- Manage and oversee shift operations and align practices to the company's vision, principles, and policies.
- Inspire others and promote a dynamic, strong team through effective coaching and supervision, and provide feedback to team members as needed.
- Maintain a beautiful, clean, operational, and orderly carwash facility and property.
- Make good decisions to resolve issues quickly and appropriately.
- Assign team member duties and ensure satisfactory completion.
- Manage time-off requests and handle last-minute absences.
- Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to management.
- Check cash drawers and prepare bank deposits.
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
- Address guest and associate complaints.
- Foster and maintain a positive work environment.
- Perform other operations, maintenance, and carwash site care duties, as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- At least one year of successful guest services personnel leadership experience in the food service, retail and/or other customer service industries.
- Confidence and desire to work with people to inspire team member development, grow club memberships, and solve problems.
- Goal-orientation, a strong work ethic, and ability to multi-task and prioritize goals and tasks.
- Comfort with technology and ability to quickly learn a point-of-sale system and a variety of applications on both Apple and PC devices.
- Experience in operating a variety of equipment and tools and willingness to learn new mechanical skills.
- Ability to maintain clear and transparent communication, both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to abide by our uniform appearance standards and consent to a background check.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule based upon project and training requirements.
- Willingness to travel periodically (up to 10%).
- Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
Physical Demands: Ability to continuously stand or walk for prolonged periods; ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, climb ladders of various sizes, reach, and lift frequently (lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally); must be able to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, and use controls, equipment, and tools; vision must be sufficient to see details up close and must have the ability to focus.
