What you will do :
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Operations / Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an in-person position in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. You will be working with a team of technicians to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of critical systems and equipment within our facility. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Position Responsibilities :
- Assist with the operations and maintenance of the plasma gasifier system, and the LT Dryer system
- Use forklift and other equipment to do things such as Load feedstock into system for testing
- Collect data and samples as required
- Maintain test schedule
- Provide input to test reports
- Provide strategic input and recommendations to engineering team
- Performs all work in compliance with Environmental, Safety, Health, and Quality requirements
- Maintains strong commitment to the Company's established Standards of Conduct and Business Ethics.
- Implementation and completion of testing plans
- Always maintain a safe work environment
Skillset Requirements :
o Associate’s degree in any of the following fields, or equivalent 2 years of experience :
Environmental Science / Technology
Machine Shop Operations
Engineering
o Proven history of maintaining and operating industrial equipment.
o Prior gasification system experience (preferred).
o Familiarity with light machining of components and strong mechanical aptitude.
o OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification (preferred).
o Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with strict safety guidelines.
o Flexibility to work outside normal business hours, including occasional weekends (not routinely required).
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic technological literacy.
o Know names of and functions of basic tools found in a tool box
o Strong problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of a team.
o Effective verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
o High attention to detail, particularly when performing diagnostic testing, managing complex systems, or documenting activities.
o Precision and dexterity for working with small components or in confined spaces.
o Ability to routinely lift equipment in accordance with company safety policies on weight limits and proper lifting techniques.
o Comfortable working indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round.
o Valid driver’s license.
o Understanding of the operation and maintenance of mechanical and diagnostic systems.
o Commitment to delivering high-quality work while respecting clients and maintaining professionalism.
