The successful candidate will play a key role in helping families navigate the funeral planning process with dignity and care. They will be responsible for providing exceptional service by guiding families through funeral arrangements and final wishes.
This includes coordinating and directing funeral services, celebrations, visitations, memorials, and burials. The Funeral Director will also handle legal and administrative tasks such as filing death certificates, obtaining permits, and coordinating with clergy, cemeteries, and other service providers.
In addition, they will ensure seamless operations by overseeing transportation, embalming (if applicable), and proper care of the deceased. They will also offer grief support and ongoing assistance to families before, during, and after services.
The ideal candidate must be a Licensed Funeral Director in Utah (or have the ability to obtain licensure) and have experience in funeral directing and arranging services. They must also be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations. Proficiency in funeral service software, Microsoft Office, and general administrative tasks is also required.
