Job Description
As a Funeral Director, you will play a key role in helping families navigate the funeral planning process with dignity and care. Your exceptional compassionate service will guide families through funeral arrangements and final wishes, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining compliance with all state and federal laws, industry regulations, and funeral home policies.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating and directing funeral services, celebrations, visitations, memorials, and burials
• Handling legal and administrative tasks such as filing death certificates, obtaining permits, and coordinating with clergy, cemeteries, and other service providers
• Ensuring proper care of the deceased, including transportation and embalming (if applicable)
• Offering grief support and ongoing assistance to families before, during, and after services
Requirements
Licensed Funeral Director in Utah (or ability to obtain licensure)
Experience in funeral directing and arranging services preferred
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations
Proficiency in funeral service software, Microsoft Office, and general administrative tasks
