Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chief of Staff who will further our mission by driving key organizational initiatives. The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic advisor to the President and CEO of HeartShare Human Services and HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services and be responsible for driving organizational priorities and ensuring operational excellence. The Chief of Staff plays a critical role in providing analysis, aligning efforts across the agency, managing high priority initiatives and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders as defined by the CEO. This person must be a leader who possesses exceptional attention to detail, outstanding project management and organizational skills and is an excellent communicator.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position
Strategic Leadership
- Act as a strategic partner and thought leader to the CEO, delivering insightful analyses and input to address the agency’s strategic priorities.
- Work closely with the executive team on emerging strategic initiatives from vision to execution, including project management and implementation.
- Translate the CEO’s vision into actionable plans, ensuring alignment with the agency’s mission and goals.
- Identify critical issues and potential roadblocks to achieving strategic goals and partner with executive and leadership teams to address them.
- Serve as liaison between the CEO and staff, board members, donors, and external partners. Represent the CEO and agency at events and meetings as needed.
- Support board relations, including preparing agendas, materials and follow-ups for board meetings. Drive engagement and foster meaningful collaboration with the board members to ensure alignment and trust.
