Physician Assistant – Cardiology

Job Description

Heartwell Cardiology is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with our cardiologists to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to our patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The ideal candidate is proactive, patient-focused, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and physical exams

• Diagnose and manage common cardiac conditions under physician supervision

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, lab work)

• Assist with procedures such as stress testing

• Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality patient care

• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)

• Participate in hospital rounds (optional depending on experience)

• Support practice growth initiatives and contribute to a positive work culture

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner license

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP)

• Prior cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply

• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
