Activity Director

Heartwood Place Memory Care is seeking a Full Time passionate and dedicated Activities Director to join our team in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction, physical health, and emotional well-being among seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role is crucial in creating a vibrant community atmosphere within our facility.

Overview/Duties

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department to assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet the interests and wellbeing of each resident.
• Develop and promptly distribute a monthly activities calendar and newsletter for residents and family members.
• Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and presenters.
• Create and perform activities that engage each resident.
• Participation in community event planning with the marketing staff.
• Making routine visits with residents/participating in the development of resident care plans.
• Planning, preparing, and keeping within the Activities budget.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
• 1 to 2 years experience preferred.
