Get paid to train to become a Registered Nursing Assistant. Up to $24.50 per hour depending on experience. Up to a $1,500 sign on bonus.

Located in Crosby, MN, Heartwood offers a range of senior living options, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and a skilled nursing facility. Our 30-acre campus is located close to the Brainerd and Cuyuna Lakes recreation areas and is surrounded by woods and wildlife providing a serene environment for residents and staff.
The Resident Assistant is responsible for the provision of high-quality care and services to residents to support the choices of residents, while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices.
- Provide medical and physical care to residents to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level based upon resident preferences, regulations and established best practices. Help each resident achieve “their best day”. Demonstrate flexibility to adjust priorities in response to resident needs.
- ADL Assist: Dressing, Grooming, Bathing/Bed Bath, Shower/Whirlpool.
- Transfer Assist: Standby, One-Person Assist, Sit to Stand Lift, Full Lift, Sliding Board.
- Vital Signs: Blood Pressure, Pulse, Respiration, Temperature, Oxygen Saturation.
- Incontinence Care: Preventative skin care, Catheter Care, Toileting Assist.
- Other Tasks: Finger stick glucose check/blood sugar administration, Ted Socks, Oxygen filling of portable tanks, Nebulizer Simple dressing changes.
- Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established clinical best practices.
- Observe residents closely, identifying changing needs and conditions at first indication, and report immediately to nursing or Household leadership as appropriate.
- Participate actively in the resident’s care planning and care conference, serving as the residents' closest advocate in provision of care and honoring their preferences.
- Create a positive dining experience for customers. Assist residents with eating. Encourage resident participation in the dining program, and meal activities. Assist in preparing, storing, recording and serving meals, beverages and snacks for residents/customers.
- Greet each person with warmth and sincerity. Anticipate needs and provide personalized service.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program and current certification in Minnesota.
- Demonstrated competencies in person-directed, resident-directed practice, home building, critical thinking, teamwork, self-leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Demonstrated compatibility with Heartwood's mission and operating philosophies.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
