HeartWorks develops autologous, stem-cell based products to improve outcomes for congenital heart disease (CHD) patients. HeartWorks is recruiting for a laboratory technician to perform cGMP and research manufacturing. This role includes a broad range of activities dedicated to hands on manufacturing and development our cell products.
- Perform laboratory tasks in a manufacturing setting, cell culture based production of iPSC derived products. Work will be completed following standard operating procedures in a variety of environments, including full aseptic PPE.
- Maintain quality and documentation standards while performing all tasks.
- Participate in continuous process improvement by identifying, developing and implementing improvement to laboratory processes.
- Support product design/development, including, but not limited to, process validations, critical material evaluation, equipment qualification, and specification/performance evaluation.
- Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses. Write technical reports and prepare graphs or charts to document experimental results.
- Daily set-up, adjustment, calibration, and operation of instruments and equipment such as: pipettes, microscopes, centrifuges, scales, and other equipment.
- Communicate with management regarding unexpected laboratory conditions or other findings in carrying out daily activities and assisting with investigations as directed by management staff.
- Provide coaching and guidance to new personnel.
- Primarily day shift. Occasional weekend/holiday work is required.
- Perform other duties as required based on company needs.
