Job Title: Building Automation Installer
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Installation of multiple HVAC automation systems to specific specifications and drawings.
- Read and interpret control system design documents and mechanical blueprints.
- Wire and terminate control devices, sensors, and actuators.
- Install and maintain network infrastructure equipment, including servers, routers, switches, and cabling.
- Install communications cabling, wiring, and direct digital control system controllers and components.
- Interface with maintenance team members to execute repairs or modifications of controlled systems and equipment.
- Install EMT and IMT conduit raceways.
- Interface with maintenance team members to execute repairs or modifications of controlled systems and equipment.
- Understanding of and practical application of the National Electric Code.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in electrical installation and building automation systems required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of automation controls systems (Distech, JCI, Siemens, ALC, etc. a plus)
- Solid understanding of automation controls, topology, and networking.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attend training sessions to stay current with the latest technology and installation methods.
- Adaptable to apply the skills to field applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Valid Driver’s License.
