Project Manager – Data Centre Construction – Omaha, NE
Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 Strong Benefits Package
HeatherDaniel International is representing a highly regarded and forward-thinking consultancy that specialises in the delivery of complex data centre projects across the United States. Originally established as a Chartered Quantity Surveying and Project Management firm, the company has evolved into a key delivery partner for some of the largest and most technically demanding projects in the mission-critical sector.
As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a Project Manager to be based in Omaha, Nebraska, with a specific focus on data centre projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with strong leadership and coordination skills, capable of overseeing construction delivery from pre-construction through to handover.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing all aspects of construction project delivery, working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful outcomes in terms of time, cost, quality, and safety. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating stakeholders, tracking progress, resolving issues, and ensuring that works are delivered in line with the client's expectations.
You will be based full-time in Omaha, supporting one of the most recognised consultancy brands in the US data centre space.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of complex data centre construction projects from inception through to completion.
- Work closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to develop project strategies, schedules, and execution plans.
- Oversee all phases of project execution including procurement, site mobilisation, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Monitor and report on progress, risk, and performance across programme, cost, quality, and safety.
- Manage design development, ensuring constructability, compliance, and alignment with project objectives.
- Chair meetings, manage stakeholder communication, and ensure clear documentation and decision tracking.
- Resolve issues and proactively identify risks to maintain project momentum and meet delivery targets.
- Ensure compliance with client procedures, local regulations, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally within the data centre or mission-critical sectors.
- Strong understanding of MEP and CSA coordination within complex building environments.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage internal teams, external contractors, and third-party consultants.
- Capable of working independently with strong attention to detail and accountability.
- PMP, CCM, or other relevant certification preferred.
- Chartership or progress towards professional accreditation will be viewed favourably.
