Role Overview
As a Part-Time General Manager at Heatwave, you will work closely with the owners and the second part-time General Manager to lead the restaurant’s operations and ensure its success as a dynamic social club that blends vibrant energy, craft cocktails, and our signature style of tapas. Duties:
Financial
- Handles budget administration and preparation, including forecasting, profit and loss accountability, cost control, and inventories
- Keep detailed records of costs and revenues
- Processes payroll for all staff
- Achieve restaurant sales and financial objectives
Leadership
- Manages the performance of team members and provides feedback to improve productivity
- Addresses performance issues quickly and respectfully by coaching, counseling, and managing conflicts
- Initiates interviews, sits on selection committee, and trains employees
- Ensures compliance with established safety and health policies and procedures
- Strong communication and ability to work well in a team
- Prepares shift schedules
Customer Service
- Provides superior service and customer care
- Responds to customers' complaints in an efficient manner with sensitivity and care
- Deliver exceptional and memorable customer experiences
Inventory
- Researches new vendors and regularly reviews product quality
- Estimates future supply needs
- Manages vendor’s contracts and invoices
- Anticipates future kitchenware and equipment needs and places orders
- Possess extensive food and beverage knowledge
Requirements:
- Prior leadership role in food service environment
- Possess a valid US Driver’s license
- Proficient with Google Suite, word processing software, excel type program
- Ability to move up to 40 pounds
- Must be 18 years of age or older or in accordance of state law
- Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends
