Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Take and record vital signs to ensure the health and safety of clients.
- Provide memory care and dementia support, utilizing effective behavior management techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any concerns.
- Document care provided accurately to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of home community care practices and memory care techniques is a plus.
- Ability to administer medications safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and understanding basic health monitoring practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage behaviors compassionately.
