This role is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill's Summer Internship Program (June–August) and the Communications Team. The position is office / hybrid, with the ideal candidate located in the Greater Louisville area.
As part of the Heaven Hill Summer Internship Program, you will directly support the organization's strategic goals through project work and business-critical assignments. We’re committed to providing valuable experience and professional development opportunities for students in our summer internship program. The summer experience consists of networking, intern development sessions & workshops, tours of Heaven Hill facilities, social events and more!
What the Role Is
We are looking for an intern to join our Community Relations team, a key function within the Communications Team. Our team supports the company, brand teams, employees, and external partners by managing and executing Heaven Hill Brands’ community relations and philanthropy commitments and initiatives.
As a summer intern, you will support general community relations work, including coordinating external engagement opportunities with community partners, maintaining stakeholder relationships in the communities we serve, and assisting with internal and external philanthropic initiatives. You will also collaborate closely with other members of the Communications Team to align messaging and strategy across all outreach efforts.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Assist in maintaining key community relations and nonprofit partnerships, including asset management, event coordination, and day-to-day communications.
- Help manage the community relations accounts payable process to streamline payments, tracking, and compliance.
- Support additional community relations and philanthropy efforts, including public relations, stakeholder alignment, and internal / external communications.
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to develop content that highlights the company’s community impact.
- Develop and deliver a presentation to the Executive Leadership Team at the end of your internship experience.
