This is an onsite position at our Bardstown, KY location. Travel to our Louisville operations site will be required.
What the Role Is
The Sr. Manager, Labor Relations is responsible for managing and overseeing the relationship between Heaven Hill, our collective bargaining unit employees, labor unions leaders, and collective bargaining agreements. This role involves ensuring compliance with labor laws and local union contracts as well as ensuring contract administration, interpretation, and education. This role will also resolve disputes, negotiate contracts, and foster a productive, fair, and respectful work environment.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Contract Negotiation :
Lead and facilitate the negotiation of three collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) with labor unions.
Mediate and resolve conflicts between management and union representatives or between employees and Heaven Hill.
Stay informed about federal, state, and local labor laws, including those related to wage and hour laws, discrimination, and health and safety.
Foster positive working relationships between management and employees, encouraging communication and cooperation.
Train management on effective labor relations practices, including handling union interactions, resolving disputes, and maintaining compliance with labor laws.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with union representatives.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding labor relations issues, trends, and developments.
