Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide essential support in a home care environment. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes
- Assist with heavy lifting and mobility support for clients with physical limitations.
- Observe and document client behavior, health status, and any concerns to report to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Skills
- Experience in hospice care or home health settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, including medication administration and patient observation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as required by client needs.
- Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
