Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Assist with medication reminders
- Facilitate mobility and assist clients with physical activities as needed.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with family members, and as well as agency
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or memory care settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and patient observation skills is highly valued.
- Ability to perform basic health assessments such as monitoring vital signs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care while respecting client dignity and privacy.
