Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Scheduling Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating schedules for healthcare professionals in various settings. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Duties:
- Coordinate, schedule and manage schedules for clients and caregivers.
- Ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed and make adjustments as necessary
- Communicate with caregivers to confirm availability and preferences for scheduling
- Utilize scheduling systems to input and update employee schedules
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient scheduling
- Monitor and track attendance records of clients and caregivers
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, including HIPAA compliance
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in scheduling or administrative role preferred
- Caregiving to seniors experience
- Knowledge of scheduling systems and software applications
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
- Proficient in using scheduling systems
- Knowledge of aseptic technique in healthcare settings
- Understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience in acute care or assisted living facilities is beneficial
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
- Previous experience working in nursing homes or long-term care facilities is desirable
- Basic life support certification is preferred
