Position Details:
Location: Jackson, MS
Start Date: Immediate Hire
Live-in/Live-out: Live-in/Live-out
Ages of Children: 9-year-old (G) & 7-year-old (B)
Working Schedule: Full-time, with the general schedule of Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
Compensation: The family is offering $60,000 annual compensation.
Benefits: Paid federal holidays, 2 weeks PTO, work vehicle, holiday bonuses, yearly raises, & yearly bonuses.
Job Responsibilities:
- Calendar management and scheduling appointments for family members
- Oversee schedules, appointments, and events for the household
- Oversee the household’s daily operations, including supervising and scheduling staff, ensuring the home remains clean and organized, and managing household inventory
- Take initiative to complete tasks without constant oversight, using tools such as Asana and Google Calendar for task management and scheduling
- Assist with meal preparation and planning, ensuring groceries and household supplies are consistently stocked
- Handle child-related needs such as preparing school uniforms, scheduling extracurricular activities, and assisting with their daily routines as necessary
- Organize and oversee maintenance and repairs, including managing vendors and contractors for pool care, yard work, and other necessary services
- Handle deliveries, pickups, and household errands promptly
- Prepare the home and necessary supplies for my personal and family travel
- Grocery shopping, personal shopping, and restocking household inventory
- Running and managing the household, including errands, organization, and administration
- Drive the family’s children as needed (must be comfortable engaging and interacting with children)
- Managing and overseeing household maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination – handyman, contractor visits, etc.
- Supervising and managing household staff
- Pet care, including daily care, and occasional veterinary appointments
- Managing household technology, systems, troubleshooting issues, and upgrades
- Handling mail, correspondence, and package deliveries
- Assist with or research, outsource and oversee vendors that can provide gardening, power washing, exterior cleaning, and garage organization as well as general maintenance tasks like changing air filters, etc.
- Handling special requests and personal tasks for family members
- Inventory management and restocking household supplies
- Assisting with home office organization and administrative tasks
- Laundry management, including washing & folding for all members of the family
- Light cleaning and tidying
- Home organization and decluttering to optimize space and functionality
- Helping create and maintain an organized home, focusing on areas of daily routine (e.g., kitchen, office, mudroom, kids’ rooms, pantry, etc.)
- Coordinating and planning special events, parties, and gatherings
- Arranging transportation and coordinating travel logistics
- Travel arrangements and itinerary planning for family vacations
- Assisting with car maintenance, including scheduling routine cleaning
- Coordinating houseguest accommodations and hospitality
Qualifications:
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
- 21 years of age or older
- Fluent in English
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred, but not required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle (Family will provide a work vehicle for use during working hours)
- Pass screenings, which include sexual misconduct screening, social media screening, reference verifications, and criminal and motor vehicle driving record background checks
- Up-to-date Adult & Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certification, or willing to take course to obtain certification
- Comfortable with pets and animals
- Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in luxury household management in a private home (Preferred)
- Must have a minimum of 2-3 professional references
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in tools like Asana, Google Calendar, and online ordering platforms
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ability to transport and accompany children to weekly extracurricular activities and outings
- Be an initiator, self-reflector, hard worker, and an effective communicator
- Be organized, reliable, punctual, positive, attentive, creative, warm, nurturing, and engaging
- Relevant job history with outstanding references
