Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety while lifting or moving them as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness in the living areas of clients, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Support clients in engaging with social activities and personal interests to promote their well-being.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams regarding client needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in long-term care settings such as personal care homes, retirement homes, nursing homes, or group homes is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy living space for clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Proficient in lifting techniques to safely assist clients with mobility challenges.
