Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated FEMALE individuals to join our team for our female client in Elmhurst, IL As a live in In Caregiver, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals in their daily activities
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning
- Support individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Provide hospice care and emotional support to individuals and their families
- Drive clients to appointments, outings, or errands
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Implement behavior management systems as directed
- Provide childcare services as needed
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
Requirements:
- Valid First Aid certification
- Ability to lift and assist with transfers as necessary
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of direct support principles and practices
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients' privacy
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
