SolidWorks Electrical Designer
Ace World Companies, LTD is an Overhead Crane Manufacturer company in Texas.
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented SolidWorks Electrical Designer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining electrical schematics, panels, and wiring diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical software. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, a high level of proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities:
Design and create electrical schematics and diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical. from rough, or detailed, sketches/notes.
Develop control panel layouts and electrical system designs under the direction of leading electrical engineers.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure electrical designs integrate seamlessly with mechanical systems.
Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving design issues during the development and production stages.
Generate BOM (Bill of Materials) and wiring lists from the electrical design data.
Maintain and update electrical design drawings and documentation according to project requirements and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in the designs.
Assist with the preparation of technical documentation for product manuals and installation guides.
Conduct design reviews and participate in engineering meetings to discuss project progress and provide feedback.
Create and manage templates, part libraries, and custom components within SolidWorks Electrical.
Other tasks assigned by the engineering department.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or related field.
3 years of experience working as a mechanical/electrical designer, with a focus on SolidWorks Electrical.
Proficiency in using SolidWorks Electrical software for electrical schematic design.
Strong understanding of electrical circuit design, controls, and industrial automation systems.
Familiarity with electrical code standards and industry best practices.
Experience with generating BOMs, wire lists, and related documentation.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to solve complex electrical design problems and offer innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other CAD or electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, etc.).
Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and other industrial control systems.
Experience in designing systems for industries such as manufacturing, automotive, or robotics.
Specific experience in overhead crane manufacturing environment.
