Job Summary
- Provide guidance and support to summer school teachers and ELOP leaders, helping with instructional strategies, managing classroom challenges, and fostering collaboration among the staff.
- Assist in the implementation of the summer school curriculum, ensuring that summer school staff are following the prescribed materials and aligning lessons with the educational goals.
- Offer training or professional development opportunities for summer school staff on best teaching practices, classroom management, and student engagement strategies.
- Serve as a communication link between teachers, parents, and the administration, ensuring that information about student progress, schedules, student behavior, or concerns is relayed efficiently.
- Conduct informal classroom observations to ensure instruction is aligned to goals and / or provide feedback as necessary.
- Help coordinate the distribution and use of teaching materials and resources, ensuring that staff has the tools they need to deliver lessons effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to keep students highly engaged in a condensed summer schedule, focusing on both remediation and enrichment.
- Be available to assist with resolving any issues that arise within the summer school program, from behavioral concerns to scheduling conflicts.
- Work closely with and collaborate with all summer school staff to include : ELOP Coordinator, Migrant and SPED Staff, site and District administrators.

Monday through Friday
7 : 45 - 2 : 30 p.m. (6 hours a day - with a 45 minute hour lunch)
Additional Planning and Prep Day / s are to be determined.
June 9 through July 3, 2025 (June 19th and July 4th observed holidays)
