Math Teacher Middle School

Hebrew Academy RASG is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment. This role involves teaching core math subjects, including pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry, and supporting numeracy skill development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math lessons for middle school students
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students
• Use data to assess student understanding and adapt teaching accordingly
• Integrate technology and real-world applications to enhance instruction
• Foster a growth mindset and promote problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom culture
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student learning
• Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school events
• Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments and assessments
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Valid teaching certification for middle school math (or ability to obtain)
• Prior experience teaching middle school students is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and best practices in math instruction
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, student-centered environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with project-based learning (PBL) or interdisciplinary teaching
• Familiarity with digital tools such as Desmos, Khan Academy, or Google Classroom
