What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Health Aide position at HEBRON HEALTHCARE SERVICES?
Duties:
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with tube feeding and other specialized medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide end-of-life care and support for patients in hospice settings.
Skills:
- Strong patient care skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and attentive care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to patient care.
- Experience with tube feeding and other specialized medical procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Knowledge of senior care principles and practices, including assisted living environments.
